What a fun morning with this adorable little lady as we celebrated her during her third year of life! We survived the heat of the summer and shared some great laughs and beautiful smiles as we walked around the park.
It always warms my heart when I get to work with families I have taken photos of in the past. I had the privilege to witness and capture Chris + Asia’s wedding last summer and was thrilled with the chance to capture their family portraits this summer! We spent the afternoon at the Swedish Hospital campus up in the Issaquah Highlands, which was the perfect setting to get these great photos. The bonus was spending time with their adorable daughter who was great at showing me her awesome dance moves.
I had a wonderful afternoon with Jay and Dennis as we walked around Kerry Park and Seattle Center. Dennis surprised Jay with their engagement/wedding bands, which was totally adorable because Jay had no idea. The two made their latest big life move this week moving down to San Francisco. They met just as Dennis got a job down there and have been commuting weekly throughout their courtship and engagement. Dennis secretly gathered postcards on each of their trips together and used them for his proposal. It is beyond clear that these two are happily in love! I was honored to spend the time I did with them.
I spent the morning with Laura and Patrick taking in the Seattle waterfront at the Aquarium and Pike Place Market. Laura is living here for the summer while Patrick is stationed at Fort Lewis studying to be part of a mobile army surgical hospital – a MASH unit. Truely young love, these two have an affinity for the outdoors and each other. I couldn’t think of a better place for them to be living during the summer. If there is one thing to say – you can’t beat Seattle in the summer. I hope they fall in love with this city as much as they have with each other.
I spent a gorgeous evening walking throughout the Washington Park Arboretum with Patricia and Richard on their engagement shoot. We chatted about their dogs and missing the beaches of Southern California and that both Patricia and I graduated from Cal State Fullerton. I had such a great time with these two and wish them happiness and love during this amazing and fun time in their lives!
